This time, I would want to introduce one of the more outgoing delegates to the Miss Earth 2009 pageant. She is 24 year old Miss Tanzania, Evelyne Almasi. She also won the title of Best National costume.

I had the chance to meet the delegate of Kosovo to the Miss Earth 2009 Beauty pageant on the afternoon before the night of the actual swimsuit competition. She was outside the tent where all candidates were having their makeup made and so I approached her and asked if I can take her picture. Meet Miss Kosovo, Elza Marku.

Miss Earth 2009 Winner

The 9^th Miss Earth Beauty Pageant is now over and out of the eighty candidates, Larissa Ramos of Brazil was crowned as the 9th Miss Earth winner. Final pageant was held at the Boracay Ecovillage Resort and Convention Center in the colorful island of Boracay Island. I was not able to attend the coronation night and so I am showing you instead some of my snaps of Miss Brazil during the Pre-pageant swimsuit competition.

Miss Earth Pre-Swimsuit Competition

We attended last night one of the Pre-Swimsuit competitions of the 2009 Miss Earth International. It was held in Mexico, Pampanga at The Lakeshore resort.

This was just one group and unfortunately, Miss Philippines was not among them. My favorites to win the Swimsuit competition were Miss Mexico, Miss Kosova and Miss Brazil.

The event was highlighted by performances of a live band (Circle of Faith), and Ronnie Liang of Pinoy Dream Academy.

Top five (5) best in swimsuit in this event will compete in the Final Swimsuit contest to be held in Fontana Resort. Honors went to Miss Switzerland, Miss Portugal, Miss Brazil, Miss Mexico and Miss France.

Setting up a Photo studio

This initial post was inspired by my idea of putting up a small photo studio. This blog will therefore document the progress of this project from conception to hopefully completion.

The studio will be built from an unused garage as shown. It will be just a small studio that will cater to fellow photo enthusiasts who want to practice and develop further their skills.

I am therefore open to suggestions on what gears, tools, equipment to procure like lighting system, backdrops, etc.
